ICCup Channel

To all players, your coordinators should have agreed on a channel to meet in at the designated match time. If not, the default channel for CSL matches on ICCup is "csl". There will also usually be a CSL admin in the channel who can help resolve any disagreements.

Good luck to everyone in their week 1 matches!

Reporting Games

CSL Season 3 kicks off today, so I thought it would be a good idea to go over game reporting.

As a reminder: Players must play on the iCCup name they have listed under their school. The reporting script is not case sensitive, so its ok for Xeris_Xeris to play as XERIS_xeriS, etc. Players are required to save all of their replays, be it by making use of the iCCup launcher's autoreplay functionality or by manually saving after their games. Once players have played their match, the winner should make their way to the Draw / Results / Line-up page for the match.

Note: You do not need to have an account on the website to report a game. We're making this as simple as possible.

From the Draw / Results / Line-up page for the match:

  • Click Report Game
  • Click Choose File and point to the replay file
  • Click Upload
  • Next, Choose the Winner
  • Click Finish Report

If all has gone according to plan, you will see a check mark next to the winner of the set, along with the winner being marked in green and the loser marked in red. The match score will update to reflect the result of the report.

Please not that a number of errors can occur depending on the file you chose, and the iCCup names you play under.

  • Upon uploading a replay, you may receive the message: The players in your replay were not found amoung the set list. When this happens, check the iCCup names in the replay against the iCCup names for the players playing the set. If they do not match, get your school coordinators to fix them and try reporting the match again. Another source for error could be from uploading the wrong replay. Lastly, if for some odd reason observers had a higher APM than the players - then the script will bug and assign that observer as a player.
  • If pyreplib fails, than contact an admin immediately.
  • If you are unable to resolve your replay issue, email your replay to cstarleague@gmail.com with the Week, Match, and Set Players in the title of the email.

In the event that a TIE occurs, and an ACE match is needed:

  • Each school coordinator should head to the Draw / Results / Line-up page for the match.
  • The school coordinator should proceed to the Set Lineup page.
  • The first 4 sets will be disabled, but you will now be able to change the player for the ace set.
  • Select your ace player and their race and Save
  • When the ACE set has been played, report the game per the steps above.

I look forward to tonight and hope everything runs smoothly. Good luck to all teams :)

CSL Withdrawals

Unfortunately, Stanford and Georgia State University have withdrawn from this season of CSL. Bad manners aside, we will still wish them the best of luck in life. However, what this means for you (East 4 and West 3) is that every week you play Stanford or GSU, you will actually have a BYE week. Nothing changes other than the fact that you will have TWO bye weeks a season.

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or angry words to fling at Stanford/GSU, please email them to cstarleague@gmail.com, as always.

UPDATE: Stanford and GSU have been removed from their respective divisions and replaced with BYES for those teams they were scheduled to play.

Player IDs

Notice to coordinators and players: because we will try to automate match reporting by parsing replays this season, it is required that the player IDs supplied exactly match the ones used in all CSL games. Failure to do so will result in appropriate penalties, such as a warning the first time followed by a set loss on subsequent occasions. Please make sure that players actually have access to the ICCup IDs that they are registered under.

Default Match Times

This is based on the feedback from the poll posted earlier. These are default times for your divisions. Note that these are only default times. You may schedule and play your match at any time before your division's default time. Refer to the rules for specifics.

East 1 Sat 8pm [EST]
East 2 Sat 8pm [EST]
East 3 Sat 4pm [EST]
East 4 Sun 8pm [EST]

West 1 Sun 8pm [CST]
West 2 Sun 8pm [CST]
West 3 Sun 8pm [PST]
West 4 Sat 4pm [PST]

Lineup submissions

Lineup submission is now available. Your lineup will be kept secret until lineup submission has been locked and both teams have submitted a full lineup. Lineups can be submitted or changed at any time up until Tuesday, February 9, 2010 11:59:00 PM PST.

The following penalties are incurred if you fail to submit your lineup by the lock deadline:

  • First 24 hours: Ace loss
  • Every additional 24 Hours: +1 Set loss

Late lineup submissions must be sent directly to an admin via email at cstarleague@gmail.com. The Received date will be used to determine penalties.

To submit your lineup:

  • If you are a School Coordinator, Login.
  • Navigate to your Team Page.
  • Go to the Draw for your first week match. The link is available from the Match Schedule at the bottom of your Team Page. Obviously, teams with a BYE this week will not have a lineup to submit.
  • On the Draw, you will have the ability to Set Lineup.
  • Set your first four players and races. Do not repeat players - attempting to manipulate the draw by repeating players will result in a submission penalty.
  • The Ace Player is disabled by default. If the match is tied and an ace player is needed, the lineup will re-open and you will be able to set an Ace player at that time.
  • You can change your lineup up until the Submission Lock Deadline.

As always, there is the option of BUGS! (oh no). If you cannot set your lineup, contact an admin immediately by email: cstarleague@gmail.com or on msn: yenta@lucem.pl.

Any delays in lineup submission caused by script errors will push the Submission Lock Deadline back accordingly.
