Announcements

*ANYONE JOINING A TEAM READ HERE FIRST* Note to all PLAYERS!

Players should not be registering teams. So, don't click the "Team Registration" button on the top right to join your CSL team. Directions repeated below. If you're familiar with joining teams on the ICCup site, the process is quite similar.

For players interested in representing their school:

  • Once your School's team is visible in the list of registered teams, proceed to create an account on the CSL site (if you do not already have one).

Registration (August 25th - September 25th)

Registration for Season 4 of the CSL is now LIVE!

To our new friends who are just tuning in—

The CSL staff would like to warmly say:

Welcome to the Collegiate Starleague.

For the uninitiated, the CSL is exactly what it sounds like: a collegiate StarCraft league where students across North America put aside their homework, friends, and Saturday nights for the thrill of real-time strategy—a league where students fight for their team, their university, and most of all, for e-Sports.

User Accounts + Spam

Hi everyone,

We're currently getting rid of the spam/bots on the site (aren't you glad there aren't a billion random comments?!). If we deleted you (a valid user) by accident, then we apologize sincerely. Please re-register if this is the case :).

Thanks,
Staff

Walkover Clarification (and apology to Ryerson)

Your team ALWAYS has the right to take a walkover win - 30 minutes for match no-show and 10 minutes for player no-show. Although deaths in immediate family, car accidents, or natural disasters are regrettable and unforeseeable, the substitute rule exists for a reason. We expect teams to exercise their best sportsmanship when it comes to being flexible, but there have been standardized times for six weeks - teams who follow those rules will take priority over those who do not.

More teams withdraw >:(

From West Division 3:
Augustana College

From East Division 2:
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

From West Division 2:
Northwest Florida State College

Any points gained by these teams due to set wins in earlier matches have been reversed, each coordinator has been removed and banned from the site. If you are set to play these teams in the upcoming weeks, set a lineup in order to pick up the forfeit win.

NINJA EDIT:
Although withdrawing midseason is BM and to be frowned upon, some of the coordinators have semi-legitimate reasons for withdrawal. Banning coordinators is the result of a bug in the website that isn't high on our priority right now, not some sort of vindictive penalty that we just made up halfway through the season.

Don't Remove Players! and Don't Withdraw Teams >:(

One announcement about the website:

PLEASE do not remove players who drop out from the team during the season. In Rice University vs Oregon State University http://www.cstarleague.com/match/239, OSU deleted a player from their roster.

ninja edit: The site SHOULD prevent this from happening, but a foreign key is currently missing.

One announcement to East Division 4:

*update* Week 3: Missing Results

All week 3 results are now in :) Thanks!

ICCUP Down

Since ICCUP is unfortunately down for the next five days, we suggest playing your matches using chaoslauncher on Battle.net or trying hamachi (using forcebind will help - tutorial: http://www.sc2gg.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=163), or however you can.

Some teams will probably have difficulty contacting each other or downloading these programs, in which case, postponing your matches will be perfectly fine. In that case, please note that you will have to play two matches next weekend to catch up.
