West Review Week 8

PLAYOFFS **Important Announcement**

Because there will be no break between the regular season and the playoffs (unlike last season where there was a 1 week grace period), we ask that ALL matches be reported by midnight on Sunday. I know that there are teams who let matches go unreported throughout the week. If your match is not reported by midnight of April 11th (aka, 12:01 am April 12th) your match will be closed as is. We want to release the playoff bracket promptly Monday evening so there is no time for lazy coordinators.

If you are curious about the playoffs, please read the following:

Weekly Interview Series: Rutgers

Hello all and welcome to another installment of the CSL weekly interview series! I apologize for the delays in these coming out, and hopefully we'll be all caught-up on responses and formatting soon! Again, if your team is interested in doing an interview, especially in these last two weeks of divisional play, send an email to cstarleague@gmail.com and we'll set you up for one soon!

This week we're bringing you an interview with the only and only Rutgers CSL team, a team known for its bad-manner, trash-talking and trouble with the law. Find out what they have to say about their performance this season, the Eddie Sun incident, and why they're so terrible at SC! Hint: It starts with a D and ends with an otA.

Warning: this interview is rated R for adult themes, adult activity, hard language, suggested violence, sexually-oriented nudity and drug abuse... Also, it is fairly text-heavy (given the content, it would be safer not to post the relevant pictures.) Viewers beware.

TIEBREAKS!! Ahhhhhh

People have been wondering about tiebreaks, especially with the playoffs fast approaching. There should have been an explanation posted in the 'Rules' section at the start of the season, but for some reason that was lost. Here's an explanation of several tiebreak scenarios:

In case of ties:
2 way tie: team with head-to-head win takes precedent
3 way tie: team with the best set win ratio takes precendent

Scenarios:
3 Way Tie for 1st [5-2 record] case A
Team A [5-2, 15-4]
Team B [5-2, 15-6]
Team C [5-2, 15-7]

Results:
1st. Team A
2nd. Team B

Hello CSL fans, and welcome to another update of what’s going on east of the Mississippi (and north of the Great Lakes?)! I apologize for these late reports, this week I blame it on Rutgers and George Mason waiting until Friday to finish their match. Just kidding, it’s my own fault, and I’ll promise to be more on time next week.
