The CSL staff would like to warmly say:
Welcome to the Collegiate Starleague.
For the uninitiated, the CSL is exactly what it sounds like: a collegiate StarCraft league where students across North America put aside their homework, friends, and Saturday nights for the thrill of real-time strategy—a league where students fight for their team, their university, and most of all, for e-Sports.
The CSL is currently underway with its plans for CSL Season 4. This fall season is unlike any other: we will, in fact, be switching over to StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, and we are looking forward to seeing new teams and new faces representing their universities on the virtual stage of battle.net.
Registration for the Fall 2010 season opens August 25th and closes September 25th (you won’t be able to register until then). More information will be posted, but until then…
Check this thread to see if your school is listed. Get a team of 5+ awesome players. Tell your friends. Write to your family. Challenge everyone you knew in high school to prove that yes, your university is better than theirs. Encourage everyone to sign up. Put up recruitment posters on campus. Spam your local CS listserv. Change your facebook status, your twitter. Like our Facebook page. Make rap videos. Take photoshoots of your devilishly attractive teammates. Broadcast on SC2. (Also, make sure that you are currently enrolled as a student. Very important step.). Email us at cstarleague@gmail.com and leave us feedback.
See you on August 25th.
