It has been a long season, with 70 teams competing we are finally down to the last two, the titans of Collegiate Starcraft. Last weekend, Duke crushed the University of Ottawa 3-0 to earn a berth in the Finals in what seems like manifest destiny; a reversal of fortunes after an early exit last season. In the Western Conference, UCSD was taken to the brink of elimination at the hands of the University of Michigan; with the season on the line, the Tritons came back convincingly to steal the victory and once again return to the Grand Finals.

Duke's Road to the Final:
Ro16: 3-0 Princeton
Ro8: 3-1 Georgia Tech
Semis: 3-0 Ottawa

UCSD's Road to the Final:
Ro16: 3-2 UC Berkeley
Ro8: 3-1 UC Irvine
Semis: 3-2 Michigan

The two teams have engaged in trash talk for the better part of two seasons, and while Duke was unable to meet UCSD in the Final last time, the long-awaited matchup has finally arrived. Duke's lineup is fearsome, with the legendary Nony leading the charge; but also featuring strong players like Frozen, Nukem, and JS, who have a combined CSL record of 23-5. UCSD on the other hand is led by Jaeyun with an 8-0 record, Cheese with a 6-2 record, and Xeris with an 8-2 record. On paper the teams seem evenly matched aside from Nony - and the final will be a thriller.

Now it's time to reveal the final matchups - the dice have been cast and they will fall where they may.
