THE CSL NETWORK

Hello all! In case you didn't know, Season 4 of the Collegiate Starleague will officially start on October 22nd. Refer here for the default match times for each division. Check out the schedule here to see who you're up against this week.

Special note: if you think you don't have a match this week, double check to make sure. A few schools were added to the league recently, and so some of the byes have been replaced with games.

Special note #2: There is a new restriction placed upon setting lineups. The 4 players in the first 3 sets must be unique. So the 4th and 5th sets can each have a repeat player. Note that the restriction on WHICH sets a player can play twice remains (ie. players cannot be in Sets 1/2 AND 4).

Special note #3: As stated below, players must have valid emails before they can be submitted to the lineups. Please make sure that all of your players have valid emails by the end of this week. We will be verifying all emails before Round 2.

On to the process. It's EXTREMELY convenient.
Click on your "My Team" page at the top right of the site. From here there are TWO paths you can take. Which will you choose??

Path 1: THE MATCH SCHEDULE
1. Scroll down to the Match Schedule section.
2. Find the correct week with your sharp senses.
3. Click on the link (which is the school name that you will be playing) for that match's week.
4. You'll be brought to a new page. It will show you the lineups for that match (which should not be available - you can use this page to verify whether or not your lineups have been submitted successfully). Locate the "SUBMIT LINEUP" button (as opposed to the draw page).
5. Click it.
6. Proceed to Section 3.

Path 2: MANAGE LINEUPS
1. Toward the top right of your team page (but not of the entire site), identify the MANAGE LINEUPS button.
2. Click it.
3. You'll be brought to a new page. It will show you the complete list of all lineups that you will ever need to submit (you can use this page to verify whether or not your lineups have been submitted successfully). Find the appropriate match, and identify the "SET LINEUPS" button on the right.
4. Click it.
5. Proceed to Section 3.

SECTION 3: THE LINEUPS PAGE
1. Take note of the big box describing the limitations on lineups. Read carefully, and make sure your lineups don't conflict.
2. You can set your lineups below this box. The first column of drop boxes is for each player's race. The second column is to pick the player. The drop box will contain all of your registered + active players.
3. Set your lineups (set 1 through set 4 - ACE match selection will be available when necessary).
4. Click the SUBMIT button.

You should see. "Your lineup has been submitted successfully."
-----

Congratulations. Your lineup has been submitted successfully.

Is there a way on the site to request a different time for our matches? Or do the coordinators have to contact eachother for that?

@Kinky - You need to email the other coordinator and set it up with them. Forward us your conversation after you have both agreed on a new time and we'll add it to match comments.

@ktfhag - What do you mean? Draw is there for a reason? So you can get back to the match page...

Oh. I thought "draw" was to click in case of a draw lol. In that case, just carry on.

@ktfhag - Aaaa I see what you mean now. Yeah, maybe we should change that to "View Match" or something like that. Draw was confusing people last season as well.

Ok, so to be clear, can we or can we not choose the ACE during the match if it comes to an ACE match? That'd be totally great if we could.

ACE match selection becomes available as soon as the results of the first four sets have been submitted completely.

If you're unable to do that during the match for whatever reason, the best thing to do would be to find someone unbiased to do a double blind for you (ie. CSL admins).

@Cedstick You can submit players for the first 4 sets up to 11:59PM Pacific time, the Tuesday before the round begins. In the case of a 2:2 score (once you have submitted replays and the result updates on the site) the lineup submission page allows you to submit your ACE player. You can only submit this player once. They are not revealed on the match page until BOTH teams make their submission.

How do you request a time change for matches? Do I just contact the other team or is it done through the CSL website somewhere?

@jolenar To request a time change, contact the other coordinator. Once you reach an agreement, forward the email to us and a division admin will update the match comments to make note of the change.

I am the coordinator, but I cannot select my self as a player. Why?

@chax Your Email failed suffix validation. You cannot compete in the CSL w/o a valid school email address.

edit: Read the new rules wrong. I thought it was changed to the same player can play set 1 and set 4 if they want.

you'll get a warning first. hmm. you can try to submit a lineup by email / if one of you is a manager you might be able to set the lineups.

My first lineup change by itself. My first 1v1 player was Jonathon Santos, and I log in today and now its Clark Cowgill. Why was my lineup change? My lineup was fully submitted last night.

Our opponent didn't submit their lineup on time. How long does their warning last until they start forfeiting matches?

Under my match page against the school I'm playing it says the match is on Saturday even though it's on Sunday. It's WLU vs UW.
