AZUBU Collegiate Champions Grand Finals, Feb 16-17 in Los Angeles

Earlier this year, the Collegiate Starleague and AZUBU gave an announcement that the Grand Finals of the AZUBU Collegiate Champions would be hosted in Seoul, Korea. EGSuppy and other CSL coordinators and players wrote an appeal to AZUBU for an event in North America, a Best of Seven finals, and a four-team event.

AZUBU heard your appeal. Today, the Collegiate Starleague and AZUBU are happy to announce that we’re doing it LIVE in Los Angeles: four universities, best of 7, and over $180,000 in prizes.

The Grand Finals of the AZUBU Collegiate Champion will be hosted at the Petersen Automotive Museum, Los Angeles, California on the 4th floor – a beautiful, modern indoor/outdoor venue with a great cityscape view. Spectators can watch from a number of LCD screens around the terrace or from our main stage.

Admission is FREE.

Whether you’re attending live or watching our stream, cheer on your favorite team of the Grand Finals by making a cheerful for your favorite team! The top three cheerfuls will be displayed on stream and awarded $10 in RP or cash.

What is a cheerful?

A cheerful is an image, traditionally drawn on a poster and waved around at a live event, that depicts your support for an eSports player or team. Sometimes, you can just draw things. For example:

Instructions

• Fill out the cheerful above – open it in an image editing program (MSPaint, Photoshop, etc.) and have at it!
• Submit your completed cheerful to admin@cstarleague.com, titled “CHEERFUL”
• If you are attending the Grand Finals live, consider printing the cheerful out and making a poster to bring to the event.
• The Top 3 cheerfuls will be displayed on stream and awarded $10 each in RP or cash prizes.

Dress your best on February 16-17 for the Grand Finals of the AZUBU Collegiate Champions in the Petersen Automotive Museum and represent your school! The CSL team with the most school spirit at our Grand Finals will win a $100 cash prize!

• Teams should wear their school color or gear (bonus points if it’s a custom team shirt); this means that we will
  also count friends and family as long as they are representing the school!
• Numbers will be tallied up on Saturday at 5pm and Sunday at 5pm for SC2 and LoL

• Show up to the Grand Finals on Sunday in your cosplay-best! You can wear either League of Legends or StarCraft II-related costumes.
• A panel of judges will select a winner at 5:30pm PST
