Eligibility

  • Any North American colleges or universities are eligible
  • Minimum of 4 players
  • Minimum of 2 laptops per team
  • When you register, you must be 100% sure about your participation in the LAN. Your decision should not depend on the results of the travel stipend. If you have a financial situation, please let us know through email instead of registering through the form below.

Your team can attend any, none, or all regional LANs. However, remember that travel stipends will only be awarded for teams within reasonable distances (e.g., schools in Washington state should not request money for a flight to the Princeton LAN but should instead consider chartering a bus for Irvine’s LAN).

Register HERE. Please fill out this form and send to cstarleague@gmail.com titled “TESPA REGIONAL LAN” before January 21, 2012 midnight PST.

Stipend [top]
(Deadline: January 21, 2012)

Travel stipends will be awarded on a case by case basis. Priority will be given to schools traveling longer but reasonable distances. Travel stipends will only cover the minimum amount of players (4-5). Travel stipends will be a reimbursement and teams should not rely on stipends to attend the event (more details in the request form).

Apply HERE. Please fill out this form and send to cstarleague@gmail.com titled “TESPA TRAVEL STIPEND” before January 21, 2012 midnight PST.

We are very excited about having the opportunity to host this event and look forward to taking collegiate e-sports to the next level. In addition the the registration document posted above, we ask that all teams fill out this document when registering. This is important so that we can secure internet access for each player. Be sure to let me know if you have any questions and we'd be happy to help!

>>> Hotel Information Updates! <<<

We have secured a fantastic price for our collegiate participants at a venue approximately 11 miles from our campus. Each room is a suite, meaning it offers many more amenities than the standard hotel room. Each room consists of two queen size beds and a pull-out couch, meaning the room can comfortably sleep five or six people without a problem. Our goal with this choice was to reduce price as much as possible.

The rooms will cost $122 per night, which can be split between all players. Travel stipends should help to ease the burden of cost, as well. Breakfast is included for each person.

512-251-9110

In order to book your room from Friday 3/16 through Sunday 3/18 (three days), you must call 512-251-9110 and ask to reserve a room within the "Texas e-Sports Association block". This will give you access to these discount rates. This week is SXSW (SouthbySouthWest), meaning hotel availability is extremely limited. I highly encourage you to reserve your room as soon as possible.

Because of SXSW, the hotel is requiring all reservations to be made by February 13th *latest*. On February 14th, your card will be charged for the full amount of the reservation, so please be prepared for this. This is a safety net for the hotel in that if we do not fill up all 30 rooms, they must be made available to other guests. After February 13th, no refunds will be given for cancellation. I apologize for the strict deadlines, but this appears to be how every hotel is operating for this time slot.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact either myself or anyone else within our officer team. We're looking forward to hosting you in Austin, Texas and will be making several more exciting announcements regarding this event in the coming weeks!
